On 30 August 2000, Christine Marie Lundy (38) and her daughter Amber Grace Lundy (7) were found murdered at the family home in Palmerston North, New Zealand. Mark Edward Lundy was convicted of both murders in 2002; the Privy Council quashed those convictions in 2013 and ordered a retrial.
